For the 3rd look of this month’s bridal looks, I have used a different model, to give an idea of how colours work on different skin tones and eye colours. As you can see from the pictures, Ruth is blonde with a fairer skin tone and blue eyes compared to Tory, the model for the previous two looks,who has a much darker skin tone and darker features. For that reason, I have gone for a very natural golden colour on the eyes and let Ruth’s gorgeous features do the talking. Just to brighten it up, I have gone for quite a bright pink lip, but you could just as easily tone it down with a nude pink lip colour such as MAC Hue, which is a very popular colour for brides.

Below is a product list that I used to achieve this look and a little information on how it was applied:

FACE
Primer – Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – I would always recommend using a primer for bridal make up as it will help the make up last all day (and night)
Buff Make Up Sheer Glow – in Movie Star – this gives a really nice glow to the skin. A small amount applied all over the face with a foundation brush. As you can see from this and the previous two looks, I always use this on my brides
Foundation – BUFF HD Foundation – really well buffed into the skin using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to give a medium to full coverage. This foundation is suitable for all skin types and will leave the skin with a satin finish. Ruth has some pigmentation on her forehead and on the tops of her cheek bones and this covers it really well. It’s also great for bridal or editorial work as it doesn’t have an SPF in it.
Concealer – MAC Pro Longwear Concealer – under the eyes, down the centre of the nose, through the brow bone, on the cupid’s bow and in the centre of the chin
Contour – Nars Laguna Bronzer – to softly contour the cheek bones. This look isn’t about contouring, so that is why it’s just done very softly. This bronzer is a great product for fairer skins.
Blush – NYX Rose Garden – this is a really fresh pink colour, with a small amount of golden shimmer through it. It has just been applied to the apples of the cheeks and blended upwards towards the ears
Face Powder – MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation – I used this to get slightly more coverage on certain parts of the face, namely over the areas of pigmentation, but kept the cheeks and nose dewy.
Highlighter – MAC Soft and Gentle – applied to the top of the cheek bones, through the brow bone, down the centre of the nose and on the cupid’s bow

EYES
Base/Primer – MAC Painterly applied all over the lid and up to the brow to give a really even base to work on. This provides a base for the eye shadow to stick to and helps the eye shadow last longer
Eye Shadows – MAC Kid was blended through the crease using a MAC 224 brush to give a little extra definition to the eyes and then applied all over the lid just up to the crease and blended in slightly. MAC Woodwinked was then applied onto the lid and blended through the crease as well. You don’t need very much of this product as it can look too cakey if you have too much on your brush
Eyeliner – MAC eyeshadow in Carbon was applied along the top lashline, as closely to the lashes as possible using a MAC 266 brush. A very small feline flick was then applied to the outer corner of the eye. I then went over this with Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Eyeliner in Black using a Louise Young LY24A brush. With whatever product I still had on the 266 brush, this was applied to the very outer edge of the lower lash line
Highlighter – MAC Soft & Gentle through the brow bone
Brows – Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde and MAC Omega eyeshadow
Mascara – Maybelline The Flashies in Black on top and bottom lashes
Lashes – Amazing Shine lashes in no 507
